Finally watched Jessica Alba & friends(Fantastic 4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer) with Alan & Jim after work on Wed nite.

Because if we went to watch earlier on, someone(Alan) will KPKB at us for flying him kite, so we(Jim & myself) waited until he came back from Dubai and watch together… Hahaha…

Overall for the show I think it’s much better the part1, more action, enjoy the small joke during the show.

Oh… did I mention Jessica Alba is HOT!!!

For the comic fans maybe a bit sad, what on earth did they do the all mighty evil Galatics? where the big giant purple hat guy. Nabeh they turn him in a big fat cloud… I mean how is it to cost to get a big fat guy for the show with small props…

Anyhow… I still enjoy the show la…

As the bro said he miss SG food after not around for 2 months, want to eat some local food before he fly back to Dubai again for work for another a month or two… so went to Lau Pa Sat for supper… had some satay, sambal stingyray, cockals.image062.jpg

Went to watch Ocean’s 13 with Jim and Qing Wei. The movie is ok for me, not really that great but able to see how well all the actors acted together as a group, the chemistry between one another.

oceans13.jpg

It’s been a long time since I step into a pool center for a game of Pool and I tell you my pool skill is getting from bad to worst… sucks man….

Jim was driving us around in his new Honda Jazz, hahaha the smell of new car… A bit sian as it’s raining the freaking whole day in the island. Drive all the way from Jalan Besar to Balestier and finally stop at Bukit Timah’s Al-Ameen for some indian food for supper. It’s damm crowded last night, all these people no need to sleep is it?…

When we were about to leave, a small incident happen. Apparently there were a group of guy ordered some food, not sure it’s because they cannot wait or on purposes… when the waiter brought plates of prata to the table, these guys were long gone…. Leaving the poor waiter looking stunned.

We were wondering was it a prank joke…

Bonus day dinner

Friday was bonus day for everyone except the newbies(me included oso…), kinda of like a must for everyone in the team to get together for a dinner on bonus day after all the hard work put in for the past few months.

SO… dinner was at 煮炒 store beside the old TANG Dynasty in Taman Jurong area. Open by Seng Song Supermarket. What I like about this 煮炒 store is that all the seafood are super fresh, you get to choose the fish that you want in the tank, the waiter will catch it for you and show you the size of the fish, then take it back to the kitchen to cook.

image056.jpg

Most importanly it’s cheap and nice.  I was so busy eating that I forget to take more pictures. hehehe…. there will be next time. We ordered about 10 dishes and only cost us around $150, thanks you Big boss for playing the game” Deal or No deal” to pay half of the makan $$$…

Got A Job!!!

Ok the last few day a few events went on so feel like to blog a bit about them. Friday went for back to H company for a second interview. More like a talking terms with the company that day then a second interview. Pay may not be that high but the extra allowances that make the difference so all and all to say I quite OK with pay. Hence today start work.

PC Show

Went over to Ada’s place to fix her com together with Jim, but nothing much I can do as the anti-virus is outdated, need a new copy of the lastest anti-virus to solve her problem.

Met up with Mervyn to head down to Suntec PC show, as compared with the last IT show. This time the PC show seem smaller(only 1 level while the IT show got 2 levels).

Wanted to get some memory Cards for Alan who is still in Dubai, but I found that the price not much difference from Sim Lim when I went 1-2 weeks ago. while the queue was so damm long like it selling free… We decided not to queue, so just walk around for a while.

Have a break at Ben & Jerry before deciding where to go for dinner.

Long time never go to Ben & Jerry already. I still prefer the outlet at Cathay.

Well dinner was at Fish & Co. since they move to a new place it’s the first time I went to the new place in suntec. I can said that all the four dun really like the place as it dun have the “fish market place” feeling more like a high end pub style to eat fish and chips. Foods is ok as we all share 2 seafood platter for 2, we almost cannot finished the food. I dun feel very well after the meal, maybe it too stuffy inside, but the moment I step out of the place I ok already. Very Weird.

Suppose to meet Rachel for Shrek 3 after that but that blur sotong, book the wrong date so end up went to watch on Saturday. It’s very funny. I think everyone should go and watch it.

Shrek3
360×250_shrek3_4.jpg

When Shrek married Fiona, the last thing that is on his mind was to rule Far Far Away. When Fiona’s Father, King Harold becomes ill, the reluctant Shrek is quickly fitted for the crown. The only way out to is for him to find Fiona’s cousin Artie, the next heir in line. Meanwhile, Fiona has a little green surprise on the way. While Shrek is away, Prince Charming returns to the kingdom of Far Far Away to create havoc with his new found army. Even with Donkey and Puss-in-Boots on Fiona’s side, it will require a ogre-sized effort for Fiona and her allies to defend Far Far Away, while waiting for Shrek to complete his quest and resume their “Happily Ever After”.

Botak Jones

image042.jpg

Went to Botak Jones at Clementi outlet, well If you like american style western food, this is the place to go. Good food at a good price at a kopitiam, YES that’s right at your friendly neighbourhood kopitiam. Ang Moi hawker serving you in the local kopitiam.

We order the Cajun Chicken Plate, the regular size $7.50, come with fries and coleslaw. I was surprise that chicken breast meat can be so tender and juicy when cooked the right way.(Char-grilled) with mozarella chesse top with Cajun sauce.

Dinner @ Waraku & Ricciotti

Meet up with Zhao Yuan in the evening for dinner. Everyone is busy that sometime it hard to meet up, not like last time back in school. We went to the newly built “The Central” on top of Clarke Quary MRT station. It seem that this new shopping mall is more like a mini Japan with alot of Japanese food and stuff selling there, which not easy to find in the normal mall.

We decided to go to Waraku after looking around, the queue was long but we actually didnot really wait long for our number to be called.

Things I like about Waraku are that the food are nice, the amount of food are also a lot, price is ok of course depend on what you order.

So I ordered a Kaminabe Waren. It come with a Beef Kaminabe, Tempura, Salmon Sashimi and rice.

While ZY ordered a Kanita Ankake with the choice of Udon or Soba and size of noodle.

Hehe after dinner went to walk around the new mall before heading to Ricciotti for desert

Ricciotti

Located at the Riverside Walk facing the river-front, the deli offers indoor and outdoor seating facilities. It is a welcoming place in a very contemporary setting enhanced by an atmosphere that is refreshing and friendly. Saw this place some time back over on the tele, no chance to go, but finally went today.

Ricciotti is a real Italian delicatessen, gourmet pastry shop & café, offering an extraordinary selection of traditional Italian fare. The deli projects a hospitable, casual and an energetic environment.

I was fliping at the menu and still cannot decide what desert to have until I went to the desert counter for the 2nd time, then I knew what I want.

For drink we had Moca Freeze

Italian Mocha with espresso, chocolate, milk and chocolate ice-cream.

While ZY had her all time favourite
Tiramisu!!!

Mascarpone cheese cake with ladyfinger biscuits, coffee and cocoa.

While I had the…..

Duomo!!!

Mascarpone & Spicy cream with olive oil sugar dough.

It’s so sinful but who care, main thing is to enjoy the food with good company of friend.

Haha that’s how you feel when you have your favourite Tiramisu in font of you….

I found it hard to crack open the chocolate ball in the duomo but once it open up, oh boy look at the chocolate sauce that slowly come out of the chocolate ball.

The pleasure of Eating

There are several places to hang out at Vivocity that might tickle your fancy(with most of the food and beverage outlets already open).

Zhao Yuan did not want to have Italian food, so the next thing that came to my mind was Japanese food(I always have this craving for Japanese food).

So Zhao Yuan and I went up to the Sushi Tei at level 2. which looked like another place which one might dine in the lap of luxury, and the decor, set against the 2nd floor outdoor boardwalk, looked as promising as some of the items on the menu.

We decided on a few dishes to share.

From the top left to bottom: Golden Roll(sushi with mango),Ika Sugatayaki(Grilled Sotong), Sukiyaki(dipping of the beef into the wok). Hotate Miso Mayo(scallop with cheese).

End of the day it’s a small- mini celebration for ones’ end of test and ones pay day, and doing some catch up.
